Best Selling Author June R. Jewell Hits the Road This Fall to Help A&E Firms Improve Accountability
Reston, VA (PRWEB) September 08, 2015 -- Fall is the time for industry conferences in the Architectural and Engineering industry, and author June R. Jewell will be speaking at most of the key events with a message to help A&E firms change their performance management practices. June selected this topic for her Fall speaking campaign after recognizing a consistent problem with A&E firms tolerating mediocre performance from some of their employees.
"I started to see patterns in many of the firms I was working with. It became apparent to me that inadequate performance management was causing many of these firms to miss important financial targets and fail to complete important internal initiatives. While this is often recognized, it is difficult to change because of entrenched cultural traps and behaviors," states Ms. Jewell.
This fall, she will focus on the specific actions that can be taken to implement an effective accountability process to inspire employees to maximize their performance and work toward common goals.
In her session on September 4 at the 2015 Zweig Group Hot Firm Conference, Holding Employees Accountable to Increase Profitability, she will look at how many A/E firms struggle with holding employees accountable, and lack overall performance-management metrics, processes, and systems to enable them to keep employees focused on their objectives to achieve the type of profits that the firm needs to be successful.
On October 10 at the GeoProfessional Business Association (GBA) Fall Conference, Ms. Jewell will present an interactive session looking at the detailed steps that firms can take to improve their employees performance.
At the PSMJ 2015 AEC Industry Summit, Dec. 3-4, Ms. Jewell will once again explore the challenges that most firms face in holding their teams accountable. During this session, she will offer real world actions that can be implemented to drive desired behavior and compliance.
