Shortfall.co.uk will provide greater choice for UK consumers looking for Gap Insurance and more

Aequitas Automotive have announced the launch of the company's third online brand today. Shortfall.co.uk is now available for UK consumers who may be looking for Gap Insurance protection for their vehicle purchases. However, in a departure from the current Aequitas Automotive brands Easy Gap and GapInsurance123, the new Shortfall.co.uk facility will provide ten further products for consumers.
Aequitas Automotive Director Mark Griffiths confirmed number of new features will be available to consumers, as well as outlining the new products made available.
"Shortfall.co.uk provides UK consumers with a range of no nonsense, 'stand alone' solutions for a range of insured protections."
"Having two successful and established Gap Insurance brands already, Aequitas were keen to ensure that the features on the Shortfall products were not simply a replica of our current products."
"The new Shortfall Gap Insurance products will provide new features to ensure we increase choice to anyone who calls our customer service team. These new features include up to £50,000 claim limits, the ability to transfer the current policy terms on to another vehicle for all Gap products."
"We have however retained a number of popular current features we provide on our existing brands such as the maximum of 5 year cover, provision for the cost of paint protection and warranty charges and the option to defer your Gap cover for up to 12 months for all products."
However it is the introduction of a range of new products, and the ability to purchase them individually, that may enable the new Shortfall brand to stand out from the crowd.
Mark Griffiths explained "The new Shortfall website allows consumers to purchase a full range of new products. This can be done in addition to a Gap Insurance product, or on a 'stand alone' basis."
"The new range includes Tyre Insurance, Scratch and Dent Insurance, Motor Warranty, Motor Excess Insurance, Alloy Wheel Insurance, Key Insurance, Roadside Assistance, Helmet, Leathers and Personal Accident Insurance, MOT Failure Insurance and Mis-Fuelling Insurance."
The Aequitas Automotive Director also explained that the new Shortfall website included new features designed to make life easier for policy holders.
"The Shortfall website now features multi product 'bundle' purchases, whereby a package of popular products can be purchased with a discount applied. Also introduced is a premium funding option to enable consumers to spread the payments over 12 months, with no up front deposit. Shortfall also features a new 'Help Centre' with information on thousands of simple questions that may assist the quote and purchase process. Finally we have provided a 'My Shortfall' account section, providing customers with access to policy documents, as well as allowing for changes of details or to begin a claim."
