XMS Penvision celebrates successful launch of aForms, the worlds simplest SaaS based data capture service for Tablet devices, by giving away €1,000.
Norrkoping, Sweden (PRWEB UK) 24 March 2014 -- Every business, regardless of sector or vertical, struggles with the logistics of paperwork once completed by remote workers. Ordinarily the forms completed with pen and paper are posted, faxed, scanned or even driven back to an office for re-entry to systems or simply to be filed away. However, the data on those forms is mostly business critical, used to trigger other processes such as invoicing, statistical collation and evidence of compliance.
The delays, and possible loss, in returning paperwork introduces risk, inherent costs and creates business issues such as inability to invoice clients for work completed, poor cash-flow under performance and lost revenue and profit.
As CEO Mats Beijer-Olsen explains, “Whilst there are many solutions to mobile data capture we took an approach of starting from the ground up and focused more on the user needs – we knew we had to make it easier than any other competing product to create, publish and complete forms. By focusing on this often forgotten element aForms users can benefit from having a replica of the actual form they use on paper but on their Tablet device, which means they can pick it up and use it instantly due to its instant familiarity. The service also eliminates development time of the electronic forms by utilising the existing Word, PDF or Excel form as its base. Simply by saving them as a PDF the form is then set up and configured in the Cloud based aForms service with no training requirements meaning a form can be functional and available to users in the field within 5 minutes”.
aForms also allows users to write as they would normally on the screen using a stylus or even a finger and see the handwriting convert to data in the form automatically and accurately, thus giving immediate data validation.
Before submission forms can also easily be enriched by attaching media to any form such as the capture of GPS coordinates per field, photos taken on the Tablet, voice files, signatures and sketch areas - enrichment which is fraught with complexity when trying to achieve the same using paper based forms.
Once completed the forms are sent over the mobile or wifi networks to the aForms Cloud where PDFs, and export files are automatically created such as XML/CSV/JPEG and sent to users or customers within seconds.
Eklöf Fastighets AB, one of Swedens specialist estate agents have been using aForms throughout its development. Peter Lindmark, CEO says "aForms really simplifies and streamlines our work by providing data back to the office literally in seconds not hours or days. The impact on customer service is very positive and it's also environmentally friendly since we avoid unnecessary paper copies."
XMS Penvision have created a competition for any individual businesses user that both pre-registers and subsequently uses aForms during their 30 day free trial period. The individual winner will win €1,000 and pre-registration entries close on Friday 4th April 2014 at 12pm GMT. See http://www.aforms.com for more details.
