Retired General Peter J. Hennessey Named Executive Vice President of AGC’s Integrated Defense Group
Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) November 17, 2014 -- Peter J. Hennessey, a retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General with 40 years of national security experience, has been named Executive Vice President of AGC’s Integrated Defense Group. AGC Integrated Defense operates under the Aerospace & Defense portfolio of Acorn Growth Companies.
The AGC Integrated Defense Group includes Commuter Air Technology, Valair Aviation, and Mission Transportation, all headquartered in Oklahoma City.
General Hennessey retired from the Air Force in 2003 after a distinguished military career that included executive management across a broad spectrum of logistics assignments, directing major systems development and acquisition programs, and leading corporate planning, programming and policy functions. He directed all logistics operations for Air Force mobility forces during Operation Enduring Freedom – the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Most recently, Hennessey was Vice President of Business Development for Battelle’s National Security Global Business, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Air Force Association and Air Force Memorial Foundation, and was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Aerospace Institute.
“Pete Hennessey is an experienced and respected industry leader who will manage our plan to increase the company’s global footprint as a leading supplier of ISR services and aircraft enhancements,” said Darryl Wilkerson, President of AGC’s Integrated Defense Group. “He’s a master strategist who knows what it takes to sustain growth and expand in new directions to increase value to clients and shareholders—and I’m extremely pleased to have him join the team.”
