Shops that sign up for the Open Claims Program can expect a hands-off approach, allowing them to provide the best service possible without the hassles of the traditional claims process.
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) November 06, 2014
eDirectGlass, along with ACD and the Independent Glass Association announced the launch of Open Claims Program (OCP), an innovative automotive glass claims program where automotive glass shops voluntarily set their own pricing and program participation terms. This dynamic program enables the shops to ultimately control their relationships by constantly measuring their customer satisfaction ratings, service performance by their technicians, and their overall financial participation as it pertains to automotive glass claims. The announcement was made at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We pride ourselves at ACD in delivering technology and services that bring true positive change. This is another example of how we continue to build relationships through value and pride of ownership,” said Ernie Bray, CEO/President of ACD. “Working with eDirectGlass and the Independent Glass Association has allowed us to collaborate on solutions that can be used now and are the wave of the future. Shops that sign up for the Open Claims Program can expect a hands-off approach, allowing them to provide the best service possible without the hassles of the traditional claims process,” concluded Bray.
Automotive glass shops or those that perform automotive glass services such as collision repair facilities can immediately apply to the Open Claims Program.
“Traditional automotive glass claim programs have reached a boiling point as third-party administrators have eroded the value of their programs both financially and otherwise. Automotive glass shops have had to sacrifice their margins for these ultimately flawed programs,” said Gary Hart, IGA executive director. “We are grateful that companies such as ACD and eDirectGlass have stepped up to the plate to provide solutions that will ultimately benefit not only automotive glass shops, but their customers, suppliers, and insurance companies. The IGA looks forward to our continued participation with all of our industry partners to ensure the best programs are delivered for automotive glass professionals,” concluded Hart.
Participants in the Open Claims Program can expect to begin processing and/or receiving claims through the program in the first quarter of 2015 from notable tier one and two insurance companies who will be revealed in the near future. Benefits of the Open Claims Program include:
- Saves Time: Participants can file electronic first notice of loss and immediately file claims without interference or wasted time with call center agents.
- Bottom-line Friendly: By establishing your own fair and reasonable rate for service, you ultimately control the financial outcome for your business, not some third-party who has no insight as to your market conditions and specialties.
- Measurable: You are always in control of your program profile. From your customer satisfaction rating, to cycle-time performance and beyond, you’ll always see the areas you need to improve.
“Working on this program has been an exciting challenge,” said Charles Isaly, CEO/President of eDirectGlass, “I believe that the openness and the flexibility are strengths of this program. We all know that the existing model and associated programs is not working and the time for change is now. We remain committed to delivering meaningful services and solutions to the industry by working with our partners such as ACD and the IGA along with listening to those that matter the most, the independent glass professional who holds the industry on their backs,” concluded Isaly.
