Aimetis Symphony™ VMS achieved superior performance for scalability and efficiency with EMC storage solutions after a rigorous 90-day technical evaluation at EMC’s global test lab; combined solution lowers total cost of ownership for the video surveillance market

“Aimetis Symphony and EMC together proved to be the best option for us” said Johann Götz, Vice President IT Engineering of Munich Airport. “Due to the combined solution architecture, we have achieved considerable reduction of total cost of ownership.”

Aimetis Corp., a global leader in intelligent IP video management software today announced that Aimetis Symphony™, its flagship video management software, has received Partner Validation from EMC Corporation, a worldwide leader in enabling businesses and service providers to transform their operations and deliver IT as a service.

EMC carried out comprehensive evaluation with Aimetis Symphony and EMC Isilon clusters and an EMC VNX5400 storage array at its global technology testing and validation center in Durham, North Carolina. The results of the 90-day evaluation were published in EMC’s white paper, which shows that Aimetis Symphony is ideally suited for either Isilon scale-out storage or VNX storage arrays. “The Aimetis architecture and product suite enables extreme scaling from a few cameras to tens of thousands of cameras with EMC storage,” the EMC white paper stated. “Aimetis Symphony’s performance to the VNX5400 array was exceptional, with high write bandwidths and video review causing low overhead to the array.”

Symphony’s high scalability and efficiency combined with EMC Isilon storage solutions offer customers unprecedented system performance and low total cost of ownership. The Aimetis-EMC solution has been deployed at several enterprise and critical infrastructure projects around the globe, including Brasilia Airport, Munich Airport, and Perth Airport. “Aimetis Symphony and EMC together proved to be the best option for us” said Johann Götz, Vice President IT Engineering of Munich Airport. “Due to the combined solution architecture, we have achieved considerable reduction of total cost of ownership.”

“We are pleased to partner with an industry leader like EMC,” said Justin Schorn, VP of Product Management at Aimetis. “Aimetis Symphony and EMC Isilon are the ideal solution for deployments that require future proof scalability, low cost of ownership and outstanding performance.”
