AIMS 360 Apparel ERP Software to Judge and Sponsor TALA Awards, Fullerton College and The Art Institute of San Diego Fashion Shows
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- Los Angeles based apparel software company, AIMS360, will be one of the distinguished judges and sponsors for the TALA Scholarship Awards, Fullerton College's Fashion Show and The Art Institute of California - San Diego, Annual “IT” Fashion Show.
On May 1st, the California Fashion Foundation (CFF) and Textile Association of Los Angeles (TALA) will be hosting their annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon at the California Market Center (Downtown Los Angeles). Chris Walia, Director of Business Development and Marketing at AIMS 360, has been asked to be one of the judges amongst many other notable people that come from all parts of the fashion industry. Students from Cal State University Los Angeles, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Long Beach City College, Los Angeles Trade Tech College, Mt. San Antonio College, OTIS College of Art & Design, Santa Monica College, and Woodbury College created designs and will be judged on the design, use of trims and fabrics, and identifying their target buying audience. The winners will be announced on May 1st at the Luncheon.
AIMS is a strong sponsor and supporter of TALA Scholarship Awards. There will be 17 students receiving various awards from many sponsors which also include Karen Kane, Tukatech, CIT, Stony, JBrand, Lectra, UPS and others. AIMS is donating a $750 scholarship to one lucky winner and also sixteen AIMS Certified Training Vouchers entitling the winners to get training to be certified in the AIMS360 apparel ERP software. "It's key that these rising stars learn the business side of the industry, so awarding them an AIMS Certification course will allow them to better understand how to use an ERP software to manage and make better decisions for their business." says Chris Walia.
On Wednesday, May 7th, AIMS will be one of the judges at the Fullerton College Fashion Show. Henry Cherner (Managing Partner) and Cheryl Lipton (Support Specialist) will be a part of the judging committee for this event. Students will strut their garments down the runway and be judged on their creativity. "I am a strong advocate for education, and was honored to be asked to be a part of this special event", says Henry Cherner. AIMS will also be awarding AIMS Certified Training Vouchers to all the winners of the Fashion Show.
On Saturday, May 24th, AIMS will also be a sponsor of The Art Institute of California - San Diego, Annual “IT” Fashion Show which returns this year for the sixth time showcasing numerous collections designed by their students. The show will take place at 8:00pm at the Headquarters at Seaport District, San Diego. Students enrolled in the areas of Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing at The Art Institute of California - San Diego have the opportunity to show their creativity and skills to industry professionals, press and the community, while competing for several scholarships and awards. AIMS sponsorship will help support six awards including:
• The “IT” Designer Award
• The “IT” Innovator Award
• The “IT” Most Marketable Award
• The “IT” Graphic Designer Award
• The “IT” Marketing Communications Coordinator Award
• The “IT” Operations Coordinator Award.
