Mugshots Grill & Bar Opens Hoover Location at Inverness Corners & Plaza with Ribbon Cutting and Check Presentation
Hoover, AL (PRWEB) March 03, 2016 -- Good food, "Havin' A Good Time", and Giving Back is at the core of Mugshots Grill & Bar’s culture. Located at 110 Inverness Plaza, just off Highway 280, the 3rd location to the Mugshots brand in Greater Birmingham opened its doors for business on Tuesday, March 1st.
After hosting their "Eat Good, Give Back" soft opening fund raising event the weekend before, Mugshots Grill & Bar and their nonprofit, Making Life Grand, were able to raise funds and awareness for Hope for Autumn Foundation and their dedication to assisting families battling childhood cancer. “I believe opening Mugshots Inverness was a great experience mainly from the overwhelming support we received from the the people of Inverness and Hoover.” said Sam McAlister, Marketing Director for Ain’t Life Grand Investments. “We have helped with quite a few fund raising events over the years for Hope for Autumn, but being able to dedicate this entire weekend to them was very rewarding.” Tuesday morning during the opening day ribbon cutting ceremony Mugshots founders presented a check to Hope for Autumn Foundation in the amount of $8,133.82.
“On behalf of Hope for Autumn Foundation, I would like to thank Ain't Life Grand Investments and Mugshots Grill and Bar for benefiting us through their ‘Eat Good, Give Back‘ campaign during the opening of their new Mugshots location in Hoover.” said Amanda Knerr, Executive Director of Hope for Autumn Foundation “Our group had a fabulous evening and experienced impeccable service and delicious food and drinks! The funds raised through the event will be used to further our mission to financially assist area families battling childhood cancer, fund new and innovative childhood cancer research at Children's of Alabama, and support our childhood cancer awareness programs. Most importantly, these funds will GIVE HOPE to families battling childhood cancer. My own thirteen year old daughter is battling cancer for the second time, and was able to join us for a rare night out. She was so grateful for the support from the staff and patrons and really had a good time!” said Knerr in closing.
“We have held 10 ‘Eat Good, Give Back’ fund raising events since 2013 when we opened our Mugshots Mobile location.” said Chris McDonald, Founder of Ain’t Life Grand Investments and Mugshots Grill & Bar. “We have currently raised just over $117,000 for great organizations over 3 states. Seeing the smile on Emily’s face this weekend reminded me of why we do this. In the early days there was no money to give; only our time and food. It has been so humbling to see how our nonprofit, Making Life Grand, is now spreading hope to families who need it most.”
