In its second year, the UAS DRONES Disaster Conference series unites stakeholders from public safety, emergency management, government, industry, and academia to explore the evolving role of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) – also known as "drones" – for public safety and disaster response missions. The Miami UASDISCON event will focus heavily on how drones were used during the 2018 response and recovery efforts surrounding Hurricanes Florence and Michael, as well as other significant incidents.
