Lake Havasu, Arizona (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- The 2013 Air Race Classic Champions, Helen Beulen and Marje Thayer, will be making a guest appearance at the Lake Havasu Airport event "Wings, Wheels and Waves" on the 16th of November. The Air Race Classic is the only cross country air race of it's kind and takes place over four days and 2200 nautical miles.
The Champions of the oldest cross country air race in the United States will be making a guest appearance at the Lake Havasu Airport. With over fifty teams entered in 2013, the course was exceptionally tough as just over half the pilot contestants finished the race. A duration of four days and encompassing over 2200 nautical miles, the all female teams overcame weather and terrain to finish the race. As Helen Beulen stated, "Winning means I flew the race no matter what my place at the finish line!"
