Johannesburg Accounting Firm Joins Alliott Group to Extend Services to the International Market
(PRWEB UK) 22 November 2016 -- MMS, one of Johannesburg’s Top 10 local certified public accounting and consulting firms, has been appointed as the local representative member firm in Johannesburg for Alliott Group, a well-established international association of independent accounting and law firms with member firms in some 70 countries.
Based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, the firm provides a large and diverse client base situated throughout South Africa with accounting, audit, tax, trust, secretarial, payroll and consulting services.
Founded in 1992, MMS has grown organically to nine partners and a total of approximately 60 staff. With clients’ needs often extending to the international market, the firm has decided to affiliate with an international grouping of firms that enables it to enhance its service offering while retaining its independence and identity.
Manie Steyn, director, comments: “Joining Alliott Group is a key part of our strategy to position the firm as a global player in South Africa’s audit and accountancy market. Our clients call on us regularly to provide solutions in different cities and countries across the world – the Alliott Group connection gives us the ability to service these needs more consistently through our professional counterparts in 70 countries worldwide. Our international client base will also grow as our foreign colleagues turn to us to assist their clients operating in South Africa.
“As a member of an international group, we will project a larger profile in our market. High quality, professionally qualified staff are in short supply in South Africa, but our ability to offer staff exposure to projects with an international dimension will help us to attract and retain great people.”
MMS is registered with the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), as well as with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) which allows it to audit publicly listed entities. The firm is a level 2 Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) contributor.
National corporations, private companies, non-profit organisations, emerging or start-up businesses, and private individuals are all serviced by the firm which has particular experience in the transport, IT, construction, retail, manufacturing and professional services sectors.
James Hickey, Alliott Group’s CEO adds: “The clients of our member firms need assistance in South Africa on a regular basis with a variety of issues. MMS’ strong core values and committed team give us every confidence that client needs will be met with high levels of professionalism and personal service.”
