Alliance Texas Development in Fort Worth Celebrates 25 Years
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 16, 2014 -- In a time when commercial development is rampant, the decline of Fort Worth’s older developments may seem to be inevitable. Despite the tendencies that these developments would fade away into oblivion, Prudential Texas Properties reports the sprawling AllianceTexas development, one of the country’s largest and most successful commercial projects, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
According to an August 21 report by The Dallas Morning News, after weathering 25 years in operation, the AllianceTexas development is proving to be as strong as ever as it continues to grow around its long-standing, anchor businesses. Groundbreaking on the development in the farmlands of Fort Worth occurred in 1988 and in 1989 the project officially opened with the Fort Worth Alliance Airport as its centerpiece.
After many years of great success in its location, the commercial development has come to house more than 370 companies and employs about 37,000 workers. However, as part of the booming North Texas region, the development will not stop there.
Planners are now working to build approximately 3.5 million square feet of additional warehouse space to attract newer and bigger tenants. At least 1 million square feet of that space has already been pre-leased to tenants wanting to take advantage of this successful hub of business and transportation.
“Fort Worth is in a prime location for businesses and even home owners to take advantage of great local resources,” says DD Flynn VP of Marketing at Prudential Texas Properties. “The success of this development just goes to show the staying power this region has, Fort Worth and its North Texas neighbors are in it for long-term success.”
In addition to warehouse space, the development is also looking to add shopping, office and apartment space over the next 10 years.
