Allied Anesthesia Physicians Rate High in New Pediatric Board Certifications
Orange, CA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- When it comes to ensuring quality care for a child’s medical care, Allied physicians are among the region’s most qualified anesthesiologists.
All of its member physicians are board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. In addition, a substantial number are now board certified pediatric anesthesiologists, following the first-ever subspecialty examination in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiologists.
The ABA examines and certifies physicians who complete an accredited program of anesthesiology training in the United States and voluntarily apply for certification. In October, it administered its very first Pediatric Anesthesiology examination, offering subspecialty certification specifically for the treatment of children. Allied physicians provide comprehensive anesthesia services at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, Calif.
“Our strong showing on the national certification exam shows off our core competency in the care of children to our patients, their families and our community,” said Paul Yost, an Allied anesthesiologist and director of cardiac services at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange. “This is verification at a national level that Allied physicians are trained and certified to deliver the highest quality pediatric anesthesia service to the children of Orange County.”
“We have the utmost concern for all of our patients, which is why we took part in the voluntary certification process,” Yost added. “We hold our physicians to the highest standards in both the general and specialty areas of our profession. We have confidence in their expertise and these results confirm that.”
