Alliott Group’s decision to partner in the CTI demonstrates our commitment to building strategic alliances on behalf of our membership with high profile international organisations that are focused on cross border trade.
London (PRWEB UK) 19 May 2016
Alliott Group is delighted to announce its involvement as a Commercial Partner in the Commonwealth Trade Initiative (CTI) which launched on 18 May 2016.
The CTI has been set up by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) which facilitates trade and investment throughout the 53 countries of the Commonwealth and supports private sector companies and governments to promote economic activity. The CWEIC works with its member companies to expand their businesses and to help them invest in Commonwealth countries.
At the heart of the CTI is the Commonwealth Trade Platform, a digital business platform that has been designed to connect thousands of buyers and suppliers across Commonwealth markets to enable them to gain access to up to date market intelligence and seek advice from experts such as those within Alliott Group’s membership who can help to unlock new trading opportunities.
Oliver Everett, Chief Executive Officer at CWEIC comments: “The Commonwealth presents an enormous growth opportunity for global businesses looking to expand into new markets and the launch of this new initiative could not come at a better time. The engagement we’ve seen prior to its launch, demonstrates clearly the extent to which global businesses can see the value of Commonwealth markets as an important growth engine.”
James Hickey, Chief Executive Officer of Alliott Group adds: “Alliott Group’s decision to partner in the CTI demonstrates our commitment to building strategic alliances on behalf of our membership with high profile international organisations that are focused on cross border trade. Involvement in the CTI will connect our members to thousands of senior decision makers at businesses across the Commonwealth who need access to the specialist expertise offered by our carefully selected alliance of accountants, tax advisers and lawyers not only across the Commonwealth, but also in many countries outside the Commonwealth. Alliott Group will play an important role in connecting internationally focused businesses with international business professionals working at medium sized professional firms who can work together to provide clients with joined-up solutions at rates well below those charged by the large international firms and with greater levels of personal service.”
The Commonwealth Trade Initiative official launch event was held on 18 May at Marlborough House on Pall Mall in London, with Lord Marland, Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council and Commonwealth Secretary-General, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC welcoming CTI participants including Paul Marmor, Head of International Services at London law firm member Sherrards Solicitors and David Gibbs, International Corporate Tax Partner at London accounting member Alliotts.
