Part of our mission is to bring cannabis out of the shadows and into the spotlight as part of the growth and revitalization of dynamic business communities like St. Petersburg’s EDGE district
SARASOTA, Fla. (PRWEB) June 11, 2020
AltMed Florida, one of the fastest growing MMTCs in the state (source: OMMU), continues its statewide expansion with a three-day opening, starting Monday June 15 at 10am for its newest MÜV™ Medical Cannabis Dispensary at 1101 1st Ave. N. in St. Petersburg.
Located in the popular EDGE (acronym: Entertainment, Dining, Galleries, Etc.) district of downtown St. Petersburg, the newest MÜV™ dispensary is easily accessible by both foot and vehicle traffic.
“Part of our mission is to bring cannabis out of the shadows and into the spotlight as part of the growth and revitalization of dynamic business communities like St. Petersburg’s EDGE district,” said Todd Beckwith, AltMed Director of Corporate Affairs. “We’re excited to bring new jobs and be a proactive member in the local economy to help drive all business in the area.”
AltMed Florida now has 22 MÜV dispensaries and is on pace to open 32 by year-end, and 40 by Q2, 2021.
“This is an exciting new industry and Florida is a prime market that has attracted large public companies,” said John Tipton, AltMed Florida CEO. “We’re different. We’re a homegrown privately owned Florida company that’s proud of our roots. We’re thrilled to be creating jobs and economic growth for communities across our state with the success and popularity of our MÜV Medical Cannabis dispensaries.”
Deemed an essential service during the pandemic, AltMed Florida has been able to expand its workforce to over 500 employees with additional teams coming onboard at each of its 11 new dispensaries this year. With higher demand for products from 22 total dispensaries, AltMed has also generated additional construction employment and staffing with the expansion of its 220,000-square-foot cultivation facility in Apollo Beach.
During the St. Petersburg opening, staggered over three-days (June15-June17) for crowd mitigation, all licensed Florida medical cannabis patients will receive a one-time use only, one per patient, 25 percent off their entire first purchase. Patients are also encouraged to order at muvfl.com for express pickup or delivery to help reduce heavy traffic.
The newest state-of-the-art MÜV™ St. Petersburg dispensary will provide award-winning products to medical cannabis patients including an extensive selection of flower, pre-rolls, vaporizer pens, metered dose inhalers, topicals, oral sprays, patent-pending encapsulation formulations in its Tinctures, 72-Hour Transdermal patches and transdermal gels. MÜV also has one of the widest selections of concentrates for patients’ needing macro-dosing options.
The St. Petersburg dispensary is approximately 3,600 square feet. An independent medical marijuana doctor is scheduled to open next door making access to medical cannabis easier for patients in need.
Like AltMed Florida’s 21 other locations (Apollo Beach, Bonita Springs, Clearwater, Deerfield Beach, Fort Myers, Gainesville, Jacksonville/San Marco, Jacksonville Beach, Lady Lake, Lakeland, Longwood/Orlando, Lutz, North Port, Downtown Orlando, Ormond Beach, Pensacola, Sarasota, Sebastian, Tallahassee, Tampa and Wellington/West Palm), the new St. Petersburg MÜV dispensary stands out because it’s designed as a premium experience – think Apple Store, with a modern open-concept design and expert staff with extensive training.
The MÜV brand already has a wide following in other legal medical cannabis markets, including Arizona, where it has won five Best of Arizona medical cannabis awards. MÜV products are sold exclusively in Florida at MÜV dispensaries because, unlike other states, Florida does not allow wholesale of product between license holders - only products that license holders make themselves can be sold in their dispensaries.
