Family members feel comforted and reassured that their loved one is in the care of knowledgeable GeriJoy staff members, certified by the Alzheimer’s Association.

“We have received such positive feedback from our staff members regarding the CARES online dementia training, which we have found to be as engaging as it is educational,” said Victor Wang, CEO of GeriJoy. “I also love the fact that family members feel comforted and reassured that their loved one is in the care of knowledgeable GeriJoy staff members, certified by the Alzheimer’s Association.”

In addition to GeriJoy’s proprietary screening process that includes rigorous psychometric evaluation, technical and language skills-based testing, and past employer references, GeriJoy’s caregiver onboarding process now requires each caregiver to earn seven different certifications from six independent authorities in order to document successful completion of the following programs:
1. GeriJoy Caregiver and Avatar Technology Training
2. Info Cubic International Background Checking
3. HealthCare Interactive Dementia Care Training
4. Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Testing
5. Medscape HIPAA and Privacy Training
6. NIH Research Privacy and Ethics Training
7. GeriJoy 30-hour Job Shadowing

All training and ongoing supervision is directed by a GeriJoy physician who is board-certified in adult psychiatry. Additionally, GeriJoy’s stringent information security policies mandate encryption technology and other personnel-based protocols to protect the privacy of confidential client information.

Adding to GeriJoy’s own credentials as a trusted provider of care services, the company also announced today an enhanced general liability policy that includes up to $1 million in coverage per incident from The Hartford, a market leader in insurance that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the world’s most ethical companies. Founded in 1810, The Hartford insures over 1 million customers and has a particular focus on older adults, exemplified by its special partnerships with MIT AgeLab and AARP.
