American Family Care Opens 44th Clinic in Alabama
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (PRWEB) November 20, 2019 -- American Family Care (AFC), the nation’s leading provider of urgent care and accessible primary care, continues to expand its national health care network with the opening of the 3rd AFC urgent care clinic in Mobile. The new state-of-the-art facility is now seeing patients seven days a week at 535 Schillinger Road South, Suite A.
The new AFC urgent care center provides a comprehensive list of medical services that save families time and money. “No appointment is ever needed at AFC and you will always see a physician during your visit,” says Randy Johansen, President of American Family Care. “Whether in Alabama, Texas or New England, our mission is the same, we are focused on providing affordable and accessible health care to our patients.”
Over the last 37 years, AFC has pioneered the concept of non-emergency room urgent care and expanded its footprint to more than 26 states. AFC is now the largest provider of urgent care in the country, with more than 200 clinics. The fast-growing health care network is on pace to expand its footprint to 500 locations within the next five years.
All AFC clinics are designed, equipped, and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care, and minor emergency treatment. Each clinic features a high-tech approach, including digital x-rays, on-site lab testing, state-of-the art diagnostics, and electronic medical records. The clinics are staffed by kind, caring, and compassionate health care professionals that serve patients seven days a week, and no appointments are necessary.
“Not only does AFC help reduce the burden of overworked emergency rooms, but it cuts down the wait time for patients with non-life-threatening emergencies,” Johansen said. “Our objective has always been to offer fast, efficient and affordable care and to have patients treated and out the door in as little as 30 – 45 minutes.”
AFC clinics also feature a full suite of occupational medicine and workers’ compensation services. These services include OSHA-mandated medical surveillance exams, D.O.T. and non-D.O.T. drug screens and physicals, and breath alcohol tests, among many other services.
AFC West Mobile is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., no appointments are necessary.
