AMG Concludes the Final Phase of Planning for the International Medical City (IMC) in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman
(PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- The infrastructure planning for the development of International Medical City (IMC) has just been completed, reports AMG. The Apex Medical Group is the developer of this enormous inbound medical tourism project coming up in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. With the completion of infrastructure planning, the final phase of planning for this project has been completed. Medical tourism is expected to bring about a number of medical facilities for this region including advanced centers for world class diagnostics, rehabilitation, organ transplant, and much more.
AMG President Dr. Abdulla Al Joaib feels that this type of projects are extremely essential in this region. “The trend toward medical tourism continues to gain in popularity with the number of people traveling abroad for medical treatments, especially from the Middle East — growing rapidly. The International Medical City in Salalah aspires to provide cost effective and reliable medical services right here in the region,” he says.
The business model followed by The International Medical City is made up of several integrated units that complement each other. According to updates received from AMG officials, the first phase will consist of a 250-bed multi-specialty tertiary care hospital with Rehabilitation Centre of Excellence, Diagnostic Centre of Excellence, and Organ Transplant Centre of Excellence. As per plans, the second phase and third phase will comprise of a Healthcare Resort and Educational Complex respectively. It has also been informed that the first phase of the project is expected to be over by the end of 2016.
