AMG Services Inc. Lends Support to Harvesters Community Food Network
(PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- A recent announcement on the AMG Services Inc. website describes the IT consulting company's support for the community food network known as the Harvesters. AMG announced that they are pleased to make donations to the Harvesters because they believe in the Harvesters' mission and are confident in the intentions and execution of the administration behind the association of non-profit groups.
Money donated by AMG Services to the Harvesters goes to a number of different hunger related initiatives, including programs to raise awareness for hunger, educational programs that help people learn how to fight hunger, and a childhood hunger initiative that teaches children about the benefits of meeting their nutritional needs in a healthy way, while providing healthy, wholesome and nutritious meals to children in need. With the help of contributors, the Harvesters work towards feeding hungry people today, while also working towards eventually ending hunger in the future.
Of the funds contributed to the Harvesters by AMG Services and other companies and individuals, only three percent are used to meet administrative and fund raising costs, that means that 97 percent of the money collected by the Harvesters goes directly towards stomping out hunger. According to AMG, the sound financial management of the Harvesters is one of the primary reasons that AMG chooses to support charitable community food network. The financial effectiveness of the Harvesters is shown by their ability to provide five meals from every one dollar donation.
The Harvesters community food network spans across the entire United States. More than 620 non-profit organizations participate in the network, helping hungry people from all over the country. Member agencies of the Harvesters include soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and children's homes. Through the various member agencies, the Harvesters is able to provide meals for 65,000 people weekly.
AMG Services Inc. is an IT consulting group based in the United States. A portion of AMG's profits goes to supporting charitable organizations such as the Harvesters.
