Two of Ventura’s Top Cosmetic Dentists to Speak to Young Dentists in London This Summer
Oxnard, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- Dr. Saj Jivraj and Dr. Mamaly Reshad of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute in Oxnard and Woodland Hills, Calif., will speak to young dentists in England this summer.
Dr. Jivraj and Dr. Reshad recently were invited to speak to central London foundation dentists about implant dentistry.
"We want to give them inspiration as they are starting their careers," Dr. Reshad said. "The presentation will focus on esthetic and implant dentistry as well as building a career."
Dr. Reshad has ties to England. He qualified as a dentist in 1993 from Kings College, London University. He completed his master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry with distinction at the Eastman Dental Institute, London University. He still maintains an office in London and is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry.
The speaking engagement is organized by the London vocational training scheme, Dr. Jivraj said.
"This is something that young dentists have to do for a year after they graduate," he said.
Speaking internationally is nothing new for the pair.
Since November, Dr. Reshad has spoken to both the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists in London and the French Dental Association in Paris.
Dr. Jivraj also has been busy recently. He recently presented in India, traveling to three cities – Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai – where he was involved in live patient demonstrations, teaching experienced dentists the All-on-4 dental implants technique.
Dr. Jivraj has been placing implants for his patients since the 1990s and is recognized as an international expert in the field.
Jivraj also was one of the main speakers at the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists conference in Mumbai, which was attended by more than 700 dentists in October.
Dr. Jivraj and Dr. Reshad are award-winning prosthodontists. They are specialists in implant, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. Both are former chairmen of University of Southern California School of Dentistry’s Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry section.
Dr. Jivraj has written more than two dozen articles on implant dentistry and restorative dentistry for the British Dental Association. Dr. Jivraj is co-author of the textbook "Treatment Planning in Implant Dentistry," which is used around the world. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and is associate clinical editor for Dental Teamwork magazine.
Dr. Reshad has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on various topics related to prosthodontics, aesthetics and implant dentistry. Dr. Reshad is on the editorial board for the prestigious Journal of Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. He is an honorary clinical teacher at the Eastman Dental Institute and a member of the faculty of the Global Institute for Dental Education.
