Devery Prince Insurance Brings Attention to Allstate Foundation Purple Purse and YWCA Alaska and Launches Campaign to Help Stop Domestic Violence
Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) October 24, 2015 -- October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge is receiving support from the local community through the efforts of Devery Prince Insurance, operating in the greater Anchorage area. Readers who believe that putting an end to domestic violence is crucial to a brighter future for all, may now view and contribute to the campaign through https://www.crowdrise.com/ywcaalaskaallstatefo/fundraiser/deveryprince.
YWCA Alaska joins the nationwide effort Purple Purse Challenge, desiring to increase public awareness and raise funds for this most worthy cause. Most victims of domestic violence remain in (or return to) abusive relationships simply because they lack the financial means to support themselves and their children. YWCA Alaska’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Center (WEEC) is dedicated to helping domestic violence survivors overcome the economic obstacles they face on the road to independence. In order to provide these vital services for all those who so desperately need them, continual fundraising is not only necessary, but critical.
“Our team feels privileged to be a part of this most worthy campaign,” said Devery Prince, owner of Devery Prince Insurance. “When you realize that domestic violence affects one in every four women, and countless children, it’s time to take a stand against this often silent crime. As a community, we need to demand better, safer, happier lives for our friends and neighbors. There’s no end to what we can accomplish together.”
With offices in Anchorage, and Wasilla, Devery Prince Insurance employs its social media channels, email and text message communications in the campaign, and also dedicates a full page of their monthly magazine to the cause. The electronic version of Our Hometown magazine may be viewed here: http://www.deveryprince.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_43. In addition to promoting the campaign to gather donations, the agency will contribute $10 for each person recommended to them for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary.
In their ongoing mission to operate as agents of change in the community, Devery Prince Insurance continues to support various worthy local causes. Any member of the community may request a group or cause to be considered for future campaigns through this link: http://www.deveryprince.com/Submit-A-Community-Cause-Idea_49. Entries are diligently reviewed, and the selected causes contacted by a representative of Devery Prince’s Community Program.
