Brian Campbell Agency and the Hand In Paw Organization Plan Charity Drive to Provide Animal-Assisted Therapy for At-Risk Children and Adults
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) November 10, 2015 -- The Brian Campbell Agency, a local insurance firm that provides coverage to hundreds of families throughout the Birmingham area, is launching a joint charity effort with the Hand In Paw Organization, a Birmingham-based non-profit that utilizes innovative animal assisted therapy techniques to improve the lives of Alabama residents.
The Hand In Paw Organization (HIP) uses animal-assisted therapy in several ways to assist at-risk young people and adults in and around Birmingham. Specially selected animals assist in programs that include anti-bullying workshops, pro-literacy campaigns, and therapeutic anti-anxiety training for patients undergoing critical medical treatments.
