One woman’s verbal and mental fight to save her marriage takes center stage in author Annie Hartzog Clayton’s new book, “The War of Matrimony” (published by Trafford Publishing).

After suffering years of abuse at the hands of her mother, Onyx falls in love and blindly marries a man seven years her senior. Jake is her Prince Charming; he wines and dines her, treats her with class and gives her the respect she desperately needs – at first.

As the years progress, she learns ugly secrets about her new husband’s past – hideous allegations of pimping, pedophilia and drug addiction. Onyx works hard to protect her children and keep peace, but will her fight for her marriage ever end?

An excerpt from “The War of Matrimony”:

“He was rotten to the core, a deceiver, a child molester, incest, rape, a liar, drug addict, cheater and money was his God. Satan tried to control everyone in the house, but was having trouble with Onyx, because she was standing in his way.”
