Announcing the Winners of the 2018 Chase Plastics' Giving Card Campaign
CLARKSTON, Mich., Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- In its third — and most successful — year, the Chase Plastics Giving Card Campaign concluded on December 10th resulting in $1,000 gifts to multiple winning charities. The Company had originally planned to award only one winning organization, but due to the overwhelming response and the compelling stories of giving, three deserving charities were ultimately selected.
Operation Underground Railroad (OUR ) – This non-profit assists governments around the world in the rescue of human trafficking and sex trafficking victims with a special focus on children. Our customer, Rick, nominated this organization for their very important work. "They exist to rescue children from sex trafficking. In the past four years of existence, O.U.R. has rescued 1,588 victims and assisted in the arrests of more than 745 traffickers around the world."
Thumb Area Helping Hands – Mandy, our customer, describes her favorite charity by stating "We help at Christmas time — just this year we actually found out they provide assistance year-round. This year we 'adopted' 98 families, some who just ask for household items or Christmas dinner for their family. We are given a list of how many children they have, ages, sizes of clothes, and some suggestions on what they need or want."
Folds of Honor – Their motto says it best: "Honor their sacrifice. Educate their legacy," when summing up the Folds of Honor mission. This organization was submitted by our customer, Craig, who said they "provide scholarships to family members that have been KIA WIA in the line of duty."
The Chase Giving Card Campaign continues to be well received within the plastics industry, appropriately capping off and highlighting a year filled with philanthropical efforts. Chase Plastics' President Kevin Chase commented, "The outpouring of generosity and the incredible acts of kindness never ceases to amaze us. I am beyond grateful to be part of an industry that continues to create an impact year after year, and I look forward to working together to make a difference in 2019."
