Endorses Dermefface Scar Gel: Pregnant and More Resilient Than Ever, 17th Cycle Winner Lisa D'Amato Puts Scarring Behind Her

'She's pretty awesome. A lot of people would have just crawled into a hole after an accident like that.' - Mike Wonnacott, Marketing Director for Skinception

She should've been on Survivor. A freak accident in January left the America's Next Top Model: All Stars winner with extensive scarring on her face. Now in the final months of her pregnancy, Lisa D'Amato – once voted TV's 10th greatest reality TV villain by TV Guide – is bouncing back, with motherhood, music and a new endorsement for the scar reduction gel that helped her recovery.

“Honestly, I think it's more difficult to go through pregnancy than anything that modelling or TV can throw at you,” she says with a laugh. “But I'm going for the full-on MILF effect. If I'm gonna be a mom, I might as well jump in.”

The accident, a fall that broke her nose in different places, lacerated her forehead, lips and chin. Faced with extensive scarring that could have derailed her career, D'Amato had plastic surgery to correct the damage, and now endorses the scar reduction product, Dermefface FX7, she credits for minimizing the scar that developed.

“She's pretty awesome. A lot of people would have just crawled into a hole after an accident like that,” says Mike Wonnacott, Marketing Director for Skinception. “We're pleased we were able to help her as she pushes forward.”

D'Amato appeared twice on America's Next Top Model: once in 2005 and again in 2011, winning the latter. Her hard-hitting, sometimes brash style earned fan support from many, and was labelled “most notorious” by others. Ousted as the seventh contestant in her first appearance, she used the branding term “daring” to express her image, with bold outfits that helped her win the contest.

A budding recording artist, particularly in rap, electro rap and hip hop, D'Amato's track Can't Touch It appeared on the HBO TV show, Entourage. D'Amato continues to transition from modelling to her musical interests, with performances at venues including The Viper Room in Hollywood, Fubar Hollywood and the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino.
