AP Expo 2013 to Feature President of Casher Associates Presenting Workshop Titled “How to Clean up Your Vendor Master File and Keep it Clean”
Portland, Maine (PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- Jon Casher, APM, president of Casher Associates, Inc., will present “How to Clean up Your Vendor Master File and Keep it Clean,” one of several concurrent workshops taking place on day one of the 12th Annual Accounts Payable 2013 Conference & Expo®. Scheduled for Oct. 21-24, 2013, at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, NV, AP Expo 2013 is an event produced by the Institute of Finance & Management (IOFM), a business unit within Diversified Business Communications. Attendees may register for AP Expo 2013 here. Among the professional education opportunities at AP Expo 2013 will be the Form 1099 Certification Bootcamp and AP Certification Workshop, as well as the related certification exams.
"Perennially a speaker at AP Expo, we’re pleased to have Jon again presenting," said RD Whitney, executive director of the IOFM. "Jon brings to our event a wealth of knowledge pertinent to just about every facet of the accounts payable professional’s job. His presentations are a good representation of the event’s content, a formidable concentration of information, thinking and shared best-practices relevant to AP."
A robust accounts payable agenda drives AP Expo 2013, the only AP membership meeting strictly focused on accounts payable education and practical approaches to automation, leadership and process improvements. AP Expo 2013 welcomes Platinum Sponsor Perceptive Software, as well as a long list of sponsors at the Gold and Silver levels, too. Information on how to sponsor the AP Expo 2013 is available.
Author of two books and more than 50 articles, Casher hold a B.S. from Cornell University and an S.M. in Management from M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management, where he has completed coursework toward a Ph.D. in the very same discipline. Since 1996, Casher has worked with IOFM. As president of Casher Associates, he consults on project management, process management and information technology.
Casher’s presentation trains its focus on the strategic value of the vendor master file, mastery of which is often part and parcel of compliance. Many of the controls key to the procure-to-pay process demand accurate and complete information from the vendor master file. Getting and keeping the vendor master file clean can be an elusive goal, yet the resource must be clean in order to be manageable. Casher will share with attendees the many variables involved.
Others will join Casher in presenting a series of concurrent workshops on the event’s first day:
