Apple Fest At The Community Orchard In Fort Dodge, Iowa Welcomes In Fall And Family Fun.
Fort Dodge, Iowa (PRWEB) September 25, 2015 -- A tradition that started in the 1940’s, The Community Orchard, located just outside of the Fort Dodge, Iowa community, is a tourist delight each fall as the apples and pumpkins are ready to greet the beginning of the season.
The first weekend of Apple Fest starts September 26th and continues through October 11th. Families will be enchanted with the traditional rides to the pumpkin patch and bags filled with a wide variety of apples to take home and enjoy.
Spookley the Square Pumpkin Corn Maze is a new attraction this year. The corn maze also carries a special message with the story of Spookley. In a world where the only good pumpkins are round pumpkins, Spookley the Square Pumpkin is a mistake, an outcast, a weed! He is shunned by the other pumpkins because of his odd shape but Spookley soon learns he is very special. The Community Orchard is the exclusive regional site to host the nationally recognized program.
The Back 40 is filled with fun activities and farm animals that will entertain children of all ages. The Back 40 Café is also open where you can sit and enjoy the scenic view and a bite to eat.
Family favorites and a wide variety of apples can be found in the Orchard Market. The newly remodeled Apple Orchard Café will be serving Scarecrow Soup and other pleasures. Fresh baked apple pies, apple turnovers and everything apple are ready to take home to continue the memories that will be created during your visit.
Ride to the Pumpkin Patch and be sure to take a few family photos as you pick out that special pumpkin. Before you head to the Pumpkin Patch, you can enjoy the Scarecrows that have been designed by area businesses and organizations to entertain visitors.
“Apple Fest is a celebration for the entire family that creates memories,” says Bev Baedke, Community Orchard Owner. “You will find something different each and every visit to the Community Orchard.”
The memories can continue all year long with the online ordering service that is available. Have Community Orchard favorites shipped directly to the home or create smiles by sending them to family members and friends. Gift boxes are always the perfect way to say thank you to business clients and associates.
