For the Wisconsin Law Journal to encourage and recognize the accomplishments of the many talented females in our profession is an incredibly empowering thing.”
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) June 09, 2016
Herrling Clark Law Firm, Ltd., located in Appleton, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce that the Wisconsin Law Journal has named Partner Kristen S. Scheuerman to its 2016 “Women in the Law” honorees.
Scheuerman was chosen for this honor based on her professional excellence within the personal injury field and her contribution to the local legal community. Along with Partner John D. Claypool, Scheuerman obtained a $1.8 million Winnebago County Verdict in September 2015 for a client in a complex premises liability case. She also serves as the President of the Outagamie County Bar Association.
Scheuerman is most proud of this honor because of the example she hopes to set for her own daughter. “I want my daughter to grow up in a world where she is encouraged to be absolutely anything she wants to be. Without limits. For the Wisconsin Law Journal to encourage and recognize the accomplishments of the many talented females in our profession is an incredibly empowering thing.”
According to the Wisconsin Law Journal, “Women in the Law” nominees are honored for the following achievements:
- Women attorneys who have achieved excellence in their respective fields and have influenced other women to pursue legal careers.
- Those who have served their profession or community in a manner that has benefited the legal profession.
- Individuals who have opened doors for women lawyers in a variety of job settings.
- Those that have advanced opportunities for women within a practice area or segment of the profession.
An official event honoring Scheuerman and the other Wisconsin “Women in the Law” honorees will be held on June 23, 2016, at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. She will be joined by several of her partners at this prestigious event, including firm President, Kevin Lonergan. “Kristen is not only an honor and credit to women in the law, she is a credit to all lawyers. Her passion for both her clients and the law is unparalleled in the legal community,” says Lonergan.
