App development studio Apptitude announced today the launch of two new apps, New Orleans Food Trucks and Premium Parking, that make it easier than ever to find food and parking.

"We're thrilled to be launching these apps at the same time because they complement each other so well, and because we feel that there's a pressing need for both of them in the market," said Apptitude founder Chris Boyd. "New Orleans continues to push the envelope with new examples that demonstrate how technology can make a city more livable and a community more unified. Apptitude is very proud to contribute to that effort."

New Orleans Food Trucks is an app developed in partnership with the New Orleans Food Truck Coalition that shows hungry users the locations of food trucks in real time, all over the city. App users can also browse through a list of all trucks and share their favorites to social networks.

Premium Parking represents a new way of thinking in how smartphones can be used to pay for parking. Anyone with an iPhone and a credit card can find a spot and pay for it immediately, all within the app. Spaces can also be reserved in advance to ensure parking for important events like an upcoming football game or parade. Users can choose to receive push notifications or emails when their sessions are about to expire, and can add more time without having to go back to their car.

Apptitude is hosting a launch party to celebrate the debut of the apps, to be held at 408 Camp St in New Orleans, along with a food truck roundup, DJ Tony Skratchere, and a raffle with prizes including a free parking contract and an Apple TV.

The apps are available now on the Apple App Store and can be downloaded here: http://appstore.com/neworleansfoodtrucks/ and here: http://appstore.com/premiumparking/. Android versions of both apps are planned for the first quarter of 2014.
