"FotoCall” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly AppWatch, which takes a look at the latest and coolest mobile applications on the iOS, Android, and Windows market. Andrew Tropeano, a host of NewsWatch AppWatch and mobile technology expert, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how it allows users to send images and documents while on a call.
Most phones restrict users from accessing portions of the device while on a call. FotoCall, a new free app for iOS and Android devices, allows users to take and send photos, images, and even PDFs while on a call with someone.
Once a user has downloaded Fotocall, they login via Facebook or Twitter or create an account with their email address. Then they can invite contacts from those channels and their address book. Once they have someone to call that has the app installed as well, they can call them with a push of the button.
During the conversation, both users can send an image or pdf, or even take a photo using the app. For example, one user can take and share photos of their new apartment while the other takes and shares pictures of their new puppy. Users can exchange as many images or pdfs or take as many photos as they want.
