We’ve always been aware that drinking water is important for health, wellness, fitness and weight loss, but until now it’s been very hard to track if we were drinking enough.

The AquaGenie team launched a Kickstarter campaign today to introduce their smart, high-tech water bottle that has improved features where other smart water bottles fall short. The team is looking to raise a total of $75K to help cover their production costs and bring AquaGenie to life. Unlike any other smart water bottle on the market, AquaGenie is uniquely durable, easy to wash and wirelessly rechargeable.
With no wires or moving parts, AquaGenie was designed to be able to withstand tough workouts, bouncing around in backpacks or gym bags, being in a bike bottle cage, or even being accidentally dropped. The AquaGenie bottle is also fully immersible and washable with no special precautions or disassembly, while other smart water bottles are not. AquaGenie recharges wirelessly and only takes 60 minutes to get a week’s worth of charge.
“We’ve always been aware that drinking water is important for health, wellness, fitness and weight loss, but until now it’s been very hard to track if we were drinking enough,” said founder Dave Winkler. “With its durable, easy-to-use design, AquaGenie can be your everyday companion, helping you to reach your goals and stay optimally hydrated along the way. We’re excited to be creating a water bottle that can provide people of all ages with long-lasting benefits.”
AquaGenie wirelessly connects to the mobile app and helps individuals track their daily, weekly and monthly water consumption at any time. Individualized goal setting and tracking encourages users to stay fully hydrated throughout the day. The app suggests updated goals if an individual becomes more active as the day goes on. Glowing lights on the bottom of the AquaGenie remind users when it’s time to take a sip and the bottle connects to existing fitness tracking apps and wearables, such as FitBit, Apple Health, and MyFitnessPal. Individuals can also monitor their loved one’s stats via the mobile app to make sure they are staying adequately hydrated.
Early supporters can pre-order AquaGenie on Kickstarter for $40, which is 40% less than the market retail value. Multiple AquaGenie bottles will also be available for $79. For more information about AquaGenie, visit http://bit.ly/AquaGenieKS.
