Arkansas Department of Education Approves Red Comet Digital Curriculum to Meet the Requirements under Act 1280
ROGERS, Ark. (PRWEB) September 27, 2018 -- Red Comet is excited to announce the approval of its digital courses by the Arkansas Department of Education. Red Comet courses are now listed under Approved Digital Providers. These courses fulfil the requirement under Act 1280 for one credit digital course to graduate high school in Arkansas
In addition, Red Comet offers over 160 digital courses for High School students, and a complete curriculum for Middle School. Courses cover all Core subjects including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Health & Art, World Languages, Technical and Career electives. Students in Arkansas can enrol in these courses to acquire credits towards high school graduation. Red Comet courses are delivered asynchronously and are self-paced. Students work with certified teachers to earn their credit.
Red Comet is a Fully Accredited (NWAC, AdvancED) organization that has been offering online courses for credit since 1999. Students have over 175 courses to choose from for grades 6-12. Many of these courses are also approved by the NCAA organization and our Advanced Placement (AP) courses are approved by the College Board. In a statewide survey in Washington State, Red Comet received high ratings for student satisfaction. Students use the Red Comet online program for original credit, credit retrieval, and credit recovery.
