Hardent to Train ARM TechCon Attendees How to Simplify Software Design on Complex SoCs
Montreal, QC (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- Hardent, an ARM Approved Training Center (ATC) and provider of embedded software design services, is delivering embedded software training at ARM TechCon 2016. The session being held during ARM TechCon Training Days is designed to enable System-on-Chip (SoC) designers to implement efficient software development flows in order to fully utilize ARM-based multicore heterogeneous SoC devices.
Single, high-performance embedded processors are often not adequate to meet today’s SoC demands for sustained high-performance and efficiency. As a result, chips increasingly feature multiple processor types to deliver device compute demands, real-time features and energy conservation requirements. SoCs based on the latest ARM technology provide additional features to help abstract the increased software complexities associated with multicore heterogeneous designs. Hardent’s ARM TechCon training session will demonstrate how designers can take advantage of these features to simplify software development.
“Embedded software developers are designing for increasingly complex SoCs,” said Matt Rushton, training manager, ARM. “The training offered by Hardent is a great opportunity to learn how to use ARM technology features to help simplify this challenge.”
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the benefits and limitations of hypervisors in embedded systems, learn how to write software to take advantage of the ARM CoreLink™ tool, including Cache Coherent Interconnect (CCI) and System Memory Management Unit (SMMU) and leverage the OpenAMP software framework across multiple processors in a heterogeneous SoC. The training will take place October 27, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. The trainer for the event will be ARM accredited engineer and trainer Shaun Purvis.
