Artegon Marketplace Announces Calendar of Events for Summer 2015

The Art of Beer – Second Tuesday Monthly, 5-8 p.m. May 12, June 9, July 14
Enjoy a night of craft beer plus live music and tantalizing treats from a marketplace purveyor, all for free (while supplies last). Sip freshly-poured ales from a local hand-crafted brewer, mingle with the artisans from The Village at Artegon Marketplace, and discover a new way to shop local.
Food Truck Fridays – Fourth Friday Monthly, 5-9 p.m. May 22, June 26, July 24
Gather on Artegon’s front patio for live music, entertainment and a kaleidoscope of food options, plus savor a unique deal: bring a purchase receipt of at least $15 from The Village at Artegon Marketplace to guest services and redeem for $5 in Food Truck Bucks.
Orlando Art & Wellness Expo – Noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 16
Loft 55 Gallery & Boutique has partnered with Artegon Marketplace to present Orlando's first-ever Art & Wellness Expo featuring over 100 craftspeople, artisans and wellness vendors. This is a free event showcasing Central Florida’s cultural arts and natural health community. Highlights include color therapy yoga, workshops in art therapy and breathe-work/meditation, a live body painting competition, aura photography, a community mural, guest speakers, raffles and giveaways, artists at work, live performances, DJs and more. Gay Days® Kick-Off Party – 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Gay Days®, the largest annual LGBT vacation destination event held anywhere in the world outside of pride celebrations, bringing over 150,000 visitors to the City of Orlando. Co-hosting the party are Jeweler to the Stars and 201 National Showgirl at Large Nova Starr and Entertainment Personality and Gay Days Creative Director of Entertainment Steve Erics. With portions of proceeds benefitting Hope & Help Center of Central Florida & The LGBT Center of Orlando, the party will feature drinks, bites by Uno Pizzeria & Grill, and entertainment inspired by Hope & Help Center of Central Florida's annual Headdress Ball. City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is scheduled to make an official proclamation opening the week-long events at theme parks and venues around Central Florida. The SUNNY 1059 Rock Art Show & Sale – A Visual History of Rock & Roll, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 5, Saturday, June 6; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 7
The SUNNY 1059 FM Rock Art Show & Sale features signed artwork created by rock stars, famous rock photographs, limited edition gold records, classic concert posters and more, plus a special selection of Rolling Stones artwork. There will be a special guest appearance by Ron Campbell, animator on The Beatles film, “Yellow Submarine,” and director of the Saturday morning Beatles TV cartoon series. Campbell will exhibit his cartoon artwork and paint new pieces live at the show. The exhibit is free and all works are available for purchase. SUNNY 1059 on-air personality Domino will broadcast live from the exhibit from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6.
Art and Wine Stroll – 6-8 p.m. June 20
Savor a free art, food and wine stroll through the Village at Artegon Marketplace. Mingle with artisans displaying their hand-crafted items and art while enjoying complimentary bite-sized treats, wine from Orlando’s own Quantum Leap Winery, and the jazz jams of a live three-piece band.
Gods & Monsters Grand Opening Celebration – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 13
Gods & Monsters, the second largest comics, toys, collectibles and gaming venue in the U.S., is celebrating its grand opening inside Artegon Marketplace. The event is free and open to the public.
