Author Asa Stone says he was inspired to write the story by his “interest in Christian doctrine and how the prominent leaders of every age are contemptuous of it coupled with the fact that God will humble them in the end.”

Asa Stone, a native of Jackson, Tenn., has been a Coca-Cola truck driver, machinist, youth marketer, newspaper editor, photographer, shipping manager, patent writer and draftsman.
