ASCCP Welcomes New President at the Annual Business Meeting
ASCCP announces its new president, Colleen K. Stockdale, MD, MS.
ATLANTA, April 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ASCCP today announces its new president, Colleen K. Stockdale, MD, MS. Dr. Stockdale was sworn in as President of ASCCP at the annual business meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. In her role as president, she will serve as executive officer for ASCCP and oversee the governance of the board organization. Prior to becoming president, Stockdale served as president-elect on the Board.

I look forward to working with our Board, committees, members, and staff as well as other collaborative relationships to optimize care." Stockdale plans on continuing to move the society forward. "The ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines for the management of women with abnormal cervical cancer screening tests is targeted to be completed by the end of the year. This collaborative effort will better direct care of women to reduce their individual risk for cervical cancer. I look forward to bridging these efforts to women and clinicians over the next year and beyond."
Dr. Stockdale completed her residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Iowa in 1999 and has been in practice for twenty years. Serving as Director of the Colposcopy and the Vulvar Vaginal Disease Clinics at the University of Iowa, she focuses on Lower Genital Tract Diseases. Primarily serving patients from Iowa and the surrounding states, the clinic's referral base stretches beyond the immediate area, with patients traveling from outside countries for care.
