The 11th annual NiUG Discovery Conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor and included nearly 350 iMIS users, solution providers, consultants and vendors who participated in educational sessions, training classes, demonstrations, exhibitor showcases, and networking events.
Pre-conference training began on Monday, September 26. That evening, ASI sponsored a welcome reception where iMIS users and partners celebrated both ASI’s 25th anniversary and NiUG’s 20th anniversary.
The full conference opened on Tuesday with a jam-packed schedule of presentations on achieving continuous performance improvement, marketing, data warehousing, certification, reporting, creating a culture of innovation, email marketing, event management, website management, member engagement and more — as well as an update on the latest features in the iMIS 20 Engagement Management System (EMS)™. The 2016 Discovery Conference boasted a record number of exhibitors — more than 40 — showcasing innovative products that integrate to iMIS.
“20 years! This is an amazing milestone for NiUG and we could never have reached it without the tremendous support we’ve received from the global iMIS community of users, volunteers, partners, exhibitors and developers,” said Michele Morgan, NiUG’s Executive Director. “This year’s conference (our 11th as the Discovery Conference) recognized the iMIS community's “superheroes” and we can’t wait to see what they’re able to achieve in the future.”
