ASM International Announces First Annual International Materials Applications and Technologies Conference and Exhibition
MATERIALS PARK, Ohio (PRWEB) October 12, 2018 -- ASM International has announced its first annual International Materials Applications & Technologies Conference and Exhibition (IMAT). ASM’s newest event will be held in Cleveland, OH from September 14-17, 2020. The conference and exhibition will include a wide range of technical sessions, education courses, keynotes, networking, and exhibition. The theme of the conference, Solving Global Material Challenges, allows for a comprehensive range of programming designed to appeal to materials professionals in industry, academia, and government.
ASM International is the only materials-centric society that truly unites different market segments from across the entire materials world. IMAT will bring together all of ASM’s committees and six affiliates, along with market partners, to create a conference and exhibition with a strong focus on application-oriented, real-world materials technologies that can be used today and into the future.
In addition to ASM’s committees and affiliates, other materials sectors will be represented by our Industry partners Ceramic Industry and NACE International. Ceramic Industry will provide valuable content from the ceramics market segment, and NACE International will deliver critical information on corrosion control topics. ASM is eager to provide attendees and exhibitors with a new range of materials topics and interests by partnering with other organizations.
“We are delighted that NACE International and Ceramics Industry have joined with ASM in executing IMAT,” said ASM CEO, Bill Mahoney. “As other partnerships for IMAT form, we will quickly update the marketplace.”
IMAT 2020 will provide an industry-focused conference and exposition targeting advanced materials, processes, and applications and addressing emerging technologies in key growth markets. Along with the technical program, the exhibition will feature major original equipment manufacturers, materials suppliers, producers, and corporate partners. These participants will unveil cutting-edge materials technology with hands-on educational workshops and demonstrations.
The conference program will include not only traditional valuable topics, but also economic, environmental, and emerging topics at the leading-edge confluence of industry, academia, and government. The IMAT 2020 final program will be released in 2019. IMAT is positioned to be the place for leading materials science individuals and organizations to come together and help solve global materials challenges.
