BMA Management Affordable Assisted Living Community to Host a Senior Health Fair
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- Heritage Woods of Flora, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host a Senior Healthy Living Fair from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 17.
The community, which is located at 1003 W. 4th St. in Flora, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
Flu and pneumonia shots will be offered from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the health fair, which is a partnership with the Clay County Hospital and the Clay County Health Department. Medicare and private insurance will be accepted. The flu shots cost $30, and the pneumonia shots are $75.
Hospital staff will give a presentation at 10 a.m. on how to stay healthy during cold and flu season.
Area businesses and agencies that assist seniors will be present to provide useful information for seniors.
The event will also feature door prizes, an exercise class and an analysis that can detect sun damage to your skin.
Heritage Woods of Flora will serve biscuits and gravy during the health fair.
