St. Anthony of Lansing Affordable Assisted Living to Host Meet and Treat on July 11
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- St. Anthony of Lansing, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Meet and Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 11.
The community, which is under development at 3025 Spring Lake Road in Lansing, Illinois, will serve low-income older adults, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
"We invite you to take advantage of this special opportunity to learn about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that will be available at St. Anthony's for adults 65 and older," says Laurena Carter, Administrator. "We'll be able to talk with you about the private apartments, personal assistance, services and amenities that will be available and show you floor plans."
The community is scheduled to open for occupancy this summer, and reservations for the apartments are being accepted.
The Meet and Treat will be held in the St. Anthony's Sales Office, which is located at 3102 Spring Lake Drive in Lansing.
For more information, call 708-474-6100.
"We will be providing older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Carter.
The community will combine residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services such as meals, housekeeping and laundry.
Residents will live in private apartments that they will furnish and decorate to their tastes. Each of the apartments will feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, will be on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"Residents also will benefit from all of the opportunities that will be available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Carter.
St. Anthony's will be certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program, which emphasizes personal choice, dignity, privacy and individuality, says Carter.
The affordable assisted living community will be managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois.
