Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing Will Give Away a New Furnace in Recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- This October, in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Assured Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing has launched a contest in which they will be giving away a new furnace to the family of a breast cancer survivor or someone presently undergoing breast cancer treatment.
Contestants do not enter themselves, but must be nominated by someone else. Those nominated must be able to show proof of breast cancer history or current treatment, live in the Atlanta or surrounding area, and own a furnace that is at least 10 years old.
Nominations can be made by filling out an online form available at assuredcomfort.com/entry/. “You will be asked to tell us about your nominee and why you think this person deserves the free furnace, in 150 words or less,” explains Jerry Hall, owner of Assured Comfort.
Nominations must be received by November 15, 2015. Entries will be judged by Assured Comfort staff, and the winner of the new furnace will be contacted and announced November 20, 2015. Assured Comfort will have the new furnace installed within three working days of the announcement, just in time for the winter season.
An additional way Assured Comfort will be supporting National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is all of their service technicians will be wearing pink shoe covers during service visits throughout October. While wearing pink shoe covers is a simple gesture, Hall believes that each service call in October will be another opportunity to help spread the word about breast cancer, and show concern for families that have been impacted by the disease.
“Breast cancer takes an emotional toll on everyone involved — from the patients themselves to family members and friends,” Hall says. “At Assured Comfort, we are trying to offer our support in every way we can.”
