Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 27, 2014
The Atlanta Vision Institute hired Melissa Smith, of Lawrenceville, GA, as a LASIK Coordinator for their offices in Atlanta and Johns Creek. Smith’s primary responsibility will be to facilitate the LASIK consultation process for all patients. She will guide them from consultations through the surgery and provide care and support to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
Previously, Smith worked as a Multi-Media Account Specialist at the Gwinnett Daily Post in Lawrenceville, GA. She worked primarily in advertising, securing clients for both print and digital forms of the newspaper. Smith expects many of the communication and marketing skills she learned in this position to translate to her new job as a LASIK Coordinator.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Atlanta Vision Institute’s patients and helping them understand the process of LASIK surgery. It can be confusing and scary for some so it is my job to make sure they are calm and comfortable,” said Smith. “Additionally, I plan on being an integral part of continuing to build the brand and community of Dr. Ashraf’s remarkable practice.”
Dr. Farooq Ashraf, medical director of Atlanta Vision Institute, is thrilled with the new addition of Smith to the office: “Melissa has already proven herself to be a great asset in the short amount of time that she has been here. We anticipate our clients will be as happy with her as we are.”
