Security is a crucial component in our deployments and the Cloudflare suite enables us to offer another layer of protection.

Atmosera, a premier Microsoft Azure solutions provider, today announced that Atmosera and Cloudflare, a web performance and security provider, have entered into a reseller agreement. After a thorough market evaluation, Atmosera selected Cloudflare for its breadth of offerings and effectiveness in protecting websites, applications, and APIs, including those hosted in Microsoft Azure. Cloudflare’s Distributed-Denial-of-Service (DDoS) protection and Web Application Firewall (WAF) products are now available to Atmosera customers and offer expanded managed security services options.
Cloudflare was the clear winner and offers effective DDoS and WAF protection to address growing threats to businesses, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and mobility across organizations. Cloudflare serves as a reverse proxy for all network traffic, protecting against any size and type of DDoS attack, including Layer 3/4 and 7, DNS amplification and reflection, SMURF, and ACK. They have a proven track record of successfully mitigating some of the largest DDoS attacks ever recorded and their Content Delivery Network (CDN), built using Anycast™ technology, improves the performance and reliability of all assets on their network. Cloudflare’s global presence was a key deciding factor, as Atmosera customers span around the world and increasingly leverage the entire Azure footprint. Atmosera has integrated Cloudflare as a part of its growing Information Security (InfoSec) portfolio of managed services.
“The level of sophistication and number of cyber-attacks continues to skyrocket and represents a very real threat to our customers and their ability to conduct business,” said Scott Harvey, Atmosera’s Vice President of Engineering. “Security is a crucial component in our deployments and the Cloudflare suite enables us to offer another layer of protection. The robustness of their solution combined with the global reach made them a natural partner for supporting our growing Azure business.”
“We see more and more customers moving their mission critical applications and websites to cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure,” said Peter Dumanian, Business Development at Cloudflare. “This partnership will provide additional security services and ultimately peace of mind for all of Atmosera’s customers, no matter where they are in the world.”
