Audubon Nature Institute Announces Tulane Pediatrics as the New Sponsor of Zoo-To-Do for Kids at Audubon Zoo
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) February 22, 2016 -- Audubon Nature Institute's Zoo-To-Do for Kids, one of New Orleans' most anticipated philanthropic events, has a new sponsor: Tulane Pediatrics, a division of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).
Zoo-To-Do for Kids, presented by Tulane Pediatrics, will be held at Audubon Zoo on the evening of Friday, April 29, 2016. This represents the first time since 2012 that the annual fundraiser will have a presenting sponsor.
HCA is also a lead sponsor this year for Whitney Zoo-To-Do, the annual adults-only, black tie gala that will be held the following week on Friday, May 6. Tickets are now on sale for both.
"As a part of Tulane Health System, Tulane Lakeside Hospital for Women and Children is proud to support Audubon Zoo and the community through Zoo-To-Do events," said Dr. William Lunn, CEO of Tulane Health System. "Tulane doctors have educated the families of New Orleans and Jefferson Parish on health and wellness since the 1800s, and we are proud to partner with Audubon Zoo and continue that tradition."
HCA has a long history of generous support for Audubon Nature Institute, including community relations programs, festivals and the Zoo Animal Hospital. HCA is also expanding its commitment by sponsoring mobile education carts at Audubon Zoo and the @Audubon e-newsletter, which will feature "Fit Family Fun Facts" each month.
Zoo-To-Do for Kids, presented by Tulane Pediatrics, offers a wide range of entertainment, including live music, handheld animals, games, giant inflatables, crafts, magicians, face painters and more. The menu includes cuisine from more than 40 local restaurants and kid-friendly snacks. Tulane Pediatrics will host a tent at Zoo-To-Do for Kids offering a variety of educational activities for families.
Whitney Zoo-To-Do on Friday, May 6, will feature samplings of local and international cuisine from more than 70 New Orleans restaurants and libations from more than 40 full-service cocktail bars. High-energy party band Emerald City is the headline entertainment at the 2016 Whitney Zoo-To-Do.
The 2016 Zoo-To-Do Luxury Vehicle Raffle features a 2016 Lexus ES350 donated by Lexus of New Orleans. The car is valued at $39,195. Raffle tickets are $100 each, and a limit of 1,000 will be sold. The winner need not be present to claim the prize.
