Augmented Island Studios’ Imaginarium is Using Augmented Reality as the Storytelling Platform of the Future
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) May 09, 2019 -- This is the new Silicon Valle - that is not a typo. Cali, the third largest city in Colombia has become a tech hub in Latin America and now the tech locals are calling it by that name. Cali is the capital city of the Valle del Cauca Department (state), which stands for the Cauca River Valley. Hence, the Silicon Valle name (Valle = Valley in Spanish). Here, a group of 5 ambitious tech entrepreneurs have started working on the Augmented Reality storytelling platform that will change the way we consume stories forever. Cali now has great salsa dancing, wonderful food and technology in the shape of augmented reality genius!
Born a mere 14 months ago, Augmented Island Studios is now 14 staff strong and has AR clients like Carhartt Vineyard, Wine Enthusiast, and Hollywood actor, artist and activist Terry Crews amongst others. Augmented Island divides their business in two, on one end they develop creative solutions for others and on the other, they are developing Imaginarium, their proprietary storytelling platform, which will be a game changer in the way stories are told and experienced.
Imaginarium is an Augmented Reality application which will be available on iOS, Android and Magic Leap, and will enable you to launch and experience stories, historical events, magical characters and worlds as well as educational content in Augmented Reality. These immersive moments can be launched in the comfort of your living room or any other flat surface. Imaginarium is unique because you become a character in each of the AR experiences. Without your participation, the stories can’t be told!
“Our platform will create wonderful opportunities to recreate historical events, launch proprietary stories, educate, and welcome many opportunities in the licensing world”, said Enrique Sánchez-Rivera, CEO and Founder of Augmented Island Studios.
Augmented Island Studios has chosen the Wright Brothers, Apollo 11 and Terry Crews’ Come Find Me children’s story as the first available experiences. They will launch on different dates so viewers can truly appreciate each story in depth. In the Imaginarium world, storytelling involves you as a character and you are responsible for activities like building the Apollo 11 rocket, helping Orville Wright find the right tools for his flying machine and having other verbal and non-verbal interactions with the characters of each immersive experience.
