Auris, Innovative Audio Technology Company, Releases skye, a WiFi Receiver Compatible With Any Music Dock
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- Auris, the innovative audio technology company, has released its latest innovation, skye. This 2”x2”, lightweight device is a WiFi receiver for any music dock. In an increasingly Bluetooth-enabled world, Auris founder and CEO Jay Shah was looking for a solution to bring older audio technology up to date without having to replace it. skye’s wireless technology allows users to stream and control their favorite tunes from an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android, Windows Phone or iTunes (Mac/PC) within a WiFi network with AirPlay and DLNA support.
“Ever since the idea of the Internet of Things began to circulate, I have been intrigued by the unlimited opportunities there,” said Shah. “I immediately began thinking of ways to make speakers more usable within this realm.”
The intuitively-designed skye fits onto any 30-pin docking station and allows wireless control of the streamed music through a skye control app. Unlike Bluetooth, the skye is not limited to a certain wireless range. Transmission is even possible through walls and furniture.
“We’ve spent nearly a year perfecting this technology in order to eliminate the problems often encountered with the current music receivers on the market such as pairing issues, low operation range, poor sound quality and limited compatibility with popular docks,” Shah said. “The simplicity behind a product that delivers such incredible results is our greatest accomplishment.”
Users who would like to use the capabilities of skye but do not have a 30-pin on their speaker system can simply connect the optional 30-pin to AUX 3.5mm + USB cable and use skye with any standard headphone jack, a 3.5mm AUX input. Power is supplied via USB and audio delivered through 3.5mm AUX jack. Alternately they can also use a charging dock with a 3.5mm AUX output. The device is compatible with all audio formats and weighs only 0.04 ounces.
skye retails on Auris’ website, http://www.theauris.com/collections/skye, for $79.99. One can also buy two devices for a discounted price of $149.98. Skye is available in Arctic White and Piano Black.
