Author Solutions Executive Keith Ogorek to Present “Four Paths to Publishing” June 21 at the 27th Annual Textbook & Academic Authoring Conference
(PRWEB) June 16, 2014 -- Author Solutions, LLC, a Penguin Random House company and the world leader in supported self-publishing services, announced Monday that Keith Ogorek, senior vice president of marketing, will present a seminar titled the “Four Paths to Publishing” on Saturday, June 21, at the 27th annual Textbook & Academic Authoring Conference. This year’s conference, which is hosted annually by the Textbook and Academic Author Association (TAA), will include for the first time a programming track dedicated to self-publishing.
“Academics are beginning to discover how self-publishing can help them in their careers and as educators,” said Ogorek, “so my goal is to share the different opportunities that exist for authors today and help them understand the paths they can take to get their books published and into the classroom.”
The “Four Paths to Publishing” presentation, which is based on a white paper Ogorek wrote with the same title, explores the most popular publishing options available to authors today: DIY publishing, general contractor, supported self-publishing and traditional publishing. In addition to explaining each path, Ogorek will outline the list of tasks associated with successfully publishing a book, then look at the advantages and disadvantages of each path.
The TAA Conference takes place June 20–21, at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland. More information can be found at http://www.2014taaconference.net.
