GLOUCESTER, Mass., July 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Authors Faye Passanisi and Captain Bill Allen present a touching fictional story involving romance, tragedy, and inspiration in their debut book, "Port Bliss."
Brandy Rogers requests to join the crew of the Sea Quest in search of closure after her husband David's sudden death on the same vessel. After convincing the vessel's captain, Captain Bill, to let her join the crew, they embark on their journey. A decade later, as two men, "Cappy" and "Pastor Jack," grow an uncanny bond, stories are told, and shocking truths are shared, unveiling secrets about the lives of several men and one woman as they learn to trust God.
"Growing up in a fishing community, I am aware of what the fishing industry has been dealing with over the past few decades - a dying industry," Passanisi said. "Although there is a lot of sea tragedy, there is the underlying message of hope that is woven throughout the story making it a positive, upbeat, feel-good kind of story."
"Port Bliss" is the writing debut for both Allen and Passanisi, who were strangers until the day they began co-writing. This was a dream of Bill's for several years and had finally come to fruition. "Bliss" is defined as perfect happiness and great joy. In their book, in spite of adversity - in fact, because of adversity - we see how their characters still experience bliss when things go wrong and don't work out as planned.
"Factual events, the fishing industry, romance, inspiration, sea tragedies and strong moral values with a Godly influence are what you can expect to find within the pages of 'Port Bliss,'" Passanisi said.
