“How It Should Be”: a journey celebrating a lifelong love and a quest for new life. “How It Should Be” is the creation of published author Leonard Nederlof, an author of Christian theological books living with his wife in British Columbia. This is his first novel.

Fifty-one-year-old James King, who lives in Camas, Washington, has been happily married to his college sweetheart for twenty-nine years when he loses her to cancer. Months later, he decides to use his annual vacation to take a road trip to commemorate vacations they used to take, and to maybe, somehow, spice up his now lonely life.

On the first day out, he gets kidnapped. Then he gets involved with a murder in a Las Vegas casino, is wanted by the FBI, and has a life-changing encounter with a homeless man in Redding, California. Will James survive all that so he can get on with his new life and start a relationship with a lady he meets in Crescent City, California?
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Leonard Nederlof’s new book is an engaging and action-packed story of one man’s eventful quest for renewal after the death of his wife of twenty-nine years.
