Author Mary Ivie Norvell's New Book "Santa Pops His Button" is A Unique Addition to the Genre of Children's Holiday Stories
Recent release "Santa Pops His Button" from Page Publishing author Mary Ivie Norvell captures the magic and excitement of Christmas through the eyes of a child.
OCALA, Fla., Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mary Ivie Norvell, a longtime writer and contributor to the world of writing on local and national levels, has completed her new book "Santa Pops His Button": a fun tale about a little girl's Christmas Eve excitement that culminates in a run-in with St. Nick himself.
"In 1980, I pursued a lifelong dream to become a professional writer," Norvell said when asked about her path as a writer. "I enrolled in American River College, Sacramento, California, where I studied under the guidance of Jack London Award winner, Professor Melvin 'Bud' Gardner."
Mary Ivie Norvell is a member of the National League of American Pen Women Inc. (a national organization of professional women writers, artists, and composers of music), is the founding president of the Ocala, Florida, branch in 1994, and served on the board of directors at national, state, and local branch levels and held the position as associate editor and feature writer for the National Pen Woman magazine.
This is her first children's story.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Mary Ivie Norvell's festive story follows Sarah on Christmas Eve, as she and her parents decorate the tree. When Sarah goes to bed, she hopes to hear the sound of Santa's reindeers on the rooftop. Instead, she hears sounds coming from the parlor. She opens one eye to peek out, and there, standing in the parlor across the hallway, is Santa Claus. She peeks out over the covers and sees him with a big button in his hand.
Readers who wish to find out what happens with Santa's button can purchase "Santa Pops His Button" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
